The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed concerning the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated SRD Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to the lack sassa status check of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area each day. The services stage established for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to empower the servicing of all buyers and boost access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
